Tenderness In The Knee After A Complete Knee Repair. Is It Normal?

I had complete (L) knee repair Nov. 29. There are times after PT or mild exercise I have warmness in the knee, tenderness on the anterior side. I m use to exercising, I do keep an eye on pain, but don t want to ignore anything either. Is the warmness natural? hours after exercise and it comes back after icing. Thank you

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The warmness in the knee joint after an exercise can be a normal finding. If the warmness is persistent and is associated with any pain then an inflammation of the joint is likely. Do watch for any swelling in the area which needs an immediate attention.
