Tenderness In Eyes While Blinking, Redness And Puffiness. What Does This Mean?

Hi I am 18 years old and wear glasses but no contacts. I am having tenderness when I blink and to the touch on the inside corner of my eye by my lacrimal bone. I also realized that on the skin of my outer eye, it is red and puffy. There is a little bit of discharge coming from the inner corner of my eye. Trying to figure out what to do

HI
Thank for choosing HCM
This could be conjunctivitis, may be allergic, viral, or bilateral, and that need to be differentiate, right now you can try antibiotic eye drops Gatifloxacin would give nice result, just take care the eye drop should never contain the steroid, if gatifloxacine does not relive the symptoms see the eye specialist, have nice day

Ophthalmologist Dr. Dadapeer K's  Response
Hello,
It seems from the history that you are having inflammatory disease of the glands of the eyelids like hordeolum. The treatment is by oral antiinflammatory drugs and antibiotic eye drops.
Hot compression applied to the swollen eye lid skin can offer symptomatic relief.

Do consult your eye doctor for further evaluation to find out the underlying cause and its treatment.
Thank you
