Swelling In Forearm, Numbness After Bee Sting. Taken Benadryl, No Improvement. Should I Take Steroids?

Some kind of bee or hornet sting on my inner forearm. Swelling is about 4 inches after 40 hours. Took Benadryl the first day and it helped control the swelling. Second day it's not helping the swelling. Very numb around the arm area and red, also the numb area is a whole degree warmer than the rest of my body. A little itchy, but not itching it. The swelling and numbness is what is bothering me. Are these all normal symptoms? Should it be this numb? Stiff arm.

Do I need to get steroids from my doctor for the inflammation? I had this same reaction to a bug bite three weeks ago. After 48 hours I ended up going to the doctor and getting steroids. Am I just having bad reactions to being in a new environment? Just moved from California to Michigan last November.
