Suggest Ways To Loose Weight Despite Regular Exercising
I have been on a very strict diet for 1.5 years. No sugar, starchy grains or pasta or breads. I lost 60 lbs. the first year, but have not really lost any this year so far. Now I have been exercising regularly, bike or mini trampoline for 30-40 min. 4-5 times a week and still really am not losing. What could be wrong. BTW I am a 46 year female.
What is your BMI? Calculate that. It should be in good range. After a certain limit, the body may not afford to loose. There are three diet plans. At least 24 or less BMI is suggested. Few diets are low-fat diets - Eg: the Ornish diet, low-carbohydrate diet, the Atkins diet, midlevel diet and the Zone diet, in which the 3 major macronutrients (fat, carbohydrate, protein) are eaten in similar proportions of 30-40%.
Why wait for a diet, for diabetic patients it is 40-45% carbohydrates, 20-30% protein, less than 35% fat! As there might be complications like vitamins deficiency, starvation, and cholelithiasis.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
