Suggest Ways Of Removing The Womb

Hi, I have APS (but not requiring treatment) and have had menorah glia for a number of years. I recently had endometrial ablation which hasn t solved the problem. I ve started taking Taraxanamic acid again, but I m concerned about a risk of clotting. My main decision now is whether to take the medication long term, or have a hysterectomy ( I m 42) and would be more than happy to have my womb removed! Thanks, Christine

Hello Christine and welcome.

It is not as simple as you think it is. Undergoing surgery needs a normal blood coagulation status, which you do not have. Once surgery is done, the doctors would require a systemic response that prevents excessive bleeding, and so any wound or injury could result in the formation of a thrombus, which in turn could complicate your situation. The topic requires an elaborate discussion with at least two doctors, a surgeon and a physician.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
