Suggest Vaginal Cream To Help Recover From Interstitial Cystitis

I have interstitial cystitis and am taking amitriptylin. I was wondering if there is a vaginal cream that could be used to help with my symptoms. Also, I am on Levothyroxin and Losartan and have stopped taking them both and my symptoms have improved a lot, only off of them for four days.Thank you for your time and input.

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hi,

Interstitial cystitis is a disease of the urinary bladder.

It is inflammation, infection of urinary bladder.

Vaginal cream will not help in this condition.

So no need to apply any form of vaginal cream.

Best treatment of interstitial cystitis is oral corticosteroid.

But you need to first rule out urine infection so get done urine culture first.
If this is negative then oral corticosteroid will help you.

Since oral corticosteroid is prescribed drug, you need to consult doctor for prescription.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
