Suggest Treatment To Get Rid Of Pimples On The Chin

About a month ago I got a red bump by my chin and it seemed to be a pimple but it got bigger like a boil then hardened and didn t go away. Then after that I kept getting them randomly around that area and on the other side, now they are spreading upwards. They stay for a long time and never really go away. They are hard spots on my skin, but I can t pop them like boils or pimples. What are these and y won t they go away with acne medicines? Help!

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pimple on chin area which could be due to excessive exposure to sun leading to post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation. It could be due to stress, hormonal imbalance, dehydration as well. Formation of pus and boil type appearance is due to bacterial infection of lesion. I would suggest you to wash your face with plain water three times a day. Apply Clindamycin gel on it. You should not prick or touch pimples , exfoliate your skin to remove dead skin and bacteria's. You should apply vitamin C serum at night. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined. Start treatment after proper diagnosis is made out. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , isotretinoin containing ointment or procedures like chemical peel or microdermabrassion. Avoid stress. Take supplements rich in vitamin B12. You should drink plenty of water. Avoid exposure to sunlight.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
