Suggest Treatment To Ease The Pain In The Swollen Toe

Last night someone smashed my big toe with their knee. As soon as I took my shoe off my toe was oozing clear fluid. My whole toe is swollen and red. But everytime I walk clear fluid comes out from beneath the toe nail. What can I do to ease the pain and stop it from leaking?

Hi,

It can be tissue fluid or inflammation related discharge. Meanwhile OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can be helpful. Local application of pyodine solution to clean and clean dressing alongwith topical antibiotics like fudic acid cream etc may be needed. If pain persists X-ray of the affected toe may be needed.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
