General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience , chronic abdomen pain may be related to intestine adhesions of post operative course, irregular bowel habits as constipation, narrowing of lumen of intestine or else. After thorough clinical examination, in my clinic, I do recommend to undertake a CT scan abdomen for best possible evaluation of the underlying cause and management accordingly. Till that time, anti spasmodic medication as dicyclomine or drotaverine with bulk forming laxative as Ispaghula husk to make stool soft are best remedies to adopt for.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
