Suggest Treatment For Withdrawl Side Effects Of Fentanyl Patches
my mother has been on fentanyl patches for 17 years and here this week her doctor took her off cold turkey today is day 4 of this hell that she is going through what I need to know is how long these withdrawl symptoms are going to last and what we can do to manage the symptoms she cant sleep eat she is nausiated chest pains severe back pain mood swings highs and lows please help thanks renee cullers
It shouldn't have been done the cold turkey way and instead been gradually weaned off, but I cannot judge her doctor without knowing what the explanation for doing so was.
But if cold turkey, then the first 2 weeks are going to be hell, which is what you are experiencing, yet not as much as her. But from there on you begin to see a gradual improvement, and in abiut a month or so, things start looking better and she will be glad she got off them in the end.
Best wishes.
