Hello,

You are taking Cintapro tablet as prescribed by your treating doctor and presently are suffering from constipation, your bowel is not getting cleared. You are suggested to take adequate water, fluids, warm beverage and soups to aid bowel movement. Add high fiber food in your regular diet, do continue to do walking in the morning and evening. Stay active. To get relief from constipation you can take laxatives, Dulcolax or stool softening suppositories.

Cintapro tablet is a prescription medicine used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux) and indigestion. If it is not suiting you, you can stop taking it. You can take PPIs, Pantoprazole, one SOS when needed to get rid of gastritis and acid reflux. Stay away from addictions if any, avoid taking food that is hard to digest, like red meat. You can take lean meat instead.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi,

Cintapro contains cinitapride that belongs to the group of medications known as gastro prokinetic agents is used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) or acid reflux, indigestion, functional dyspepsia etc. But like other medications this has some side effects of its own. Diarrhea is the most common side effect with this medicine. So it is recommended to take plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration.

But in some cases, this medication also may cause constipation as a side effect. Usually this medication induced side effects are mild as well as self limiting and go away over time without any medical treatment. But if this medication induced side effects persist for long or bother you then you should consult your doctor first for medical help.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
