General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The most common cause is middle ear infection which leads to water accumulation in the ears through the inflammatory process.

If the otoscopic examination has not revealed the precise details of the inner eardrum, I request to undertake an MRI of the concerned region for perfect diagnosis and further management guidelines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
