Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son who is 19 has had an upset stomach, particularly in the morning but lasting all day at times. He has excess gas and burps loudly and complains of his stomach spasms. No constipation or lower GI symptoms but he does have vomiting and can t keep food down on some days. He went in and had an endoscopy previously which was normal. Blood work, CBC with Diff and electrolytes were normal. He is naturally skinny and weighs 120 lbs. and is 6 feet tall. The nausea and vomiting comes and goes and the GI doc prescribed acid blockers which haven t helped much. Any suggestions?
Hello I had gone through your question and I can understand your concern I see such patients in my clinic routinely and I will try to help you as well in best possible way
looking at your history this could be due to Aerophagia (swallowing of air) GERD, gastritis, acid peptic disease, this could be related to stomach hyperacidity or ACID REFLUX
in my opinion you should avoid fatty fried spicy and junk food or carbonated drinks lead a stress free life just relax and enjoy your life omeprazole group of drugs with antacids will definitely help you if persists even after all this please consult a gastroenterologist for endoscopy or an scan study
Hope this addresses your question please feel free to ask for follow up questions i will.gladly answer you wishing you good health
