Suggest Treatment For Vomiting And Abdominal Distension

My brother in law has just been diagnosed with pneumonia. However, he also has had vomiting including vomiting small blood clots, and a distended stomach. His urine also looks dark and reddish. They are addressing the pneumonia, but so far have made no mention of the other. He is in intensive care.

Hello,

Pneumonia may cause hemolysis and little jaundice also, pneumonia itself can cause hemoptysis. Vomiting with blood may be due to stress ulcers or peptic ulcer disease. Without proper history and examination, it is difficult to say what it is. Please post investigation reports and x-ray reports we will discuss the possible causes of this problem.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regard,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
