Suggest Treatment For Vaginal Itching In An Elderly Patient
yes i am a 44 year old female experiencing some vaginal itching i recently called my doctor and had her call me in some diflican pill on yesterday i took one oink pill yesterday afternoon and started feeling little relief but to night the itching and irritation seem to be back where it started i have been putting some greek yogurt at the opening of my vagina to get some relieaf but my vagina seem really inflamed and irritated right now what can i do

I can understand your concern. From the description of your symptoms, it seems that you are having fungal infection in your pelvic area and medication given to you by doctor is also antifungal medicine. However, many times you may not get relief by just one day's medicine. As you can feel some relief on first day, you can expect to find some more relief on the second day till the infection is eliminated. You might have to take it for 5-7 days for complete relief.
In addition, avoid tight clothing and switch to cotton undergarments if possible. Restrict your use of scented soaps and perfumes and avoid long hot or bubble baths.
