Suggest Treatment For Urine And Fecal Incontinence

Hello I am a healthy 66 yo woman but have weak pelvic floor muscles..as well as some problems with urine and fecal incontinence. I am an avid walker. Have been for years. Lately I ve been jogging to train for a 5k race I ve also been having PT for the pelvic floor. Lately after walking longer than I might usually, I ve had very sharp intense pain in what I think is the pubic bone. Seems like it happens after the exercise but I m concerned. Could I have bruised the bone or could this pain be from the incontinence problem? Ty

Hi,

The pubic bone pain on overexertion can be due to calcium & vitamin D deficiency. Please get your blood levels checked & if less start needful supplements with your doctors advise (for dosage & duration). While you continue with pelvic floor exercises.

The pelvic muscle weakness could be due to limber spondylosis (quada equina syndrome). It is worth taking an orthopaedic advise for needful imaging investigation because the management may differ in such a condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
