thanks for asking your question I completely understand your question the problem you are suffering with is upper respiratory tract infection. no need of taking steroids. you just need an antibioric course that too for a week like cefexime and best thing that will work is having steam inhalation three times a day . that oral solution is fine consulting a pulmonologist would be a better option he can request for a sputum culture by which causituve organism can be traced and accordingly the best medication can be started viral upper respiratory infections will reslve by themselves with in a week if you have yellow sputum then u need to take these antibiotics prednisolone should not be taken in these kind of urti better if u consult a pulmonologist thanks/ regards feel free to ask more questions may god bless your family with good health
