Suggest Treatment For Upper Respiratory Infection

I have an upper respiratory infection and abscess tooth was prescribed steroid and clendimiacim I am allergic to penicillin I have taken 5 doses of clendimiacin and my face has swollen more and is a little red and itchy should I continue the antibiotics

Hi..

From your explanation of having swollen face with itching and redness seems to be most probably due to allergic reaction to the antibiotic that you are taking that is Clindamycin..

I would not suggest you to continue to take antibiotics without getting checked by your doctor..

For now you should take anti allergic medicine like benadryl or levocetrizine to reduce swelling and do cool compresses.
Drink plenty of water.

But to continue antibiotics first get checked by a Physician so that the antibiotic can be changed..
