Hi Varicocele is tortuous & dilated veins that normally drain the testis. There are several opinions on how it affects fertility. A theory says it increases the temperature inside the scrotum that causing poor sperm count. However, a leading theory suggests that increased oxidative stress reduces the fertility of varicocele patients. It is not well understood yet.
