Suggest Treatment For Tumor On The Ovary

Hi my mom has a three inch tumor on her ovary. They found it with an ultrasound over a week ago (they are not sure if it is cancerous yet). The fastest she could get surgery is 8 days from now. Meanwhile she has been in agony while attempting a bowel movement. Today she is in constant pain with constapation. She has tried laxatives, enemas. She is wondering if she should go to the ER. Any recommendations to relieve the pain?

Hello,

I think you have tried lactulose and enema which are the main ways to provide a bowel movement.

Since it is more probably a mechanical problem surgery is the main treatment.

You can go to ER to help her possibly remove feces manually to provide a bit of relief for her.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
