Suggest Treatment For Tonsillitis

Hi, I have been to the doctor last night and he diagnosed me with tonsilitis. He has given me panadine forte and antibiotics to take. I can t seem to keep the fever down though. I take the forte and the fever drops for about an hour, then rises to about 39.3• c. Should I be worried about the high temp? And am I able to take ibuprofen in between taking the forte?

Hi,
Any antibiotic takes some time to give its effect.
Continue with antibiotic and within 2-3 days it will start working and you will get relief.
Meanwhile you can take ibuprofen as needed in between medicine for fever and pain.
Ok and take care.
