Suggest Treatment For Tonsillitis

My 175 lb 15 yr old has a bad case of tonsillitis and neither 2 advil (200 mg each) nor 1 500 mg tylenol is mitigating his pain very well. He will see his physician in the morning. He started this yesterday. We ve been alternating advil/tylenol every 3 hours. Can he take a stronger dose of advil tonight and if so, how much? His pain is getting more intense and he needs to sleep. thank you.

HI
Well come to HCM
If this is just swelling of Tonsils no exudation is there no history of fever no swallowing difficulty no breathing problem, then no need to treat this condition with any higher dose of medicine, general measurement would give nice result like salt luke worm water gargling, Povidone iodine gargle, bed rest avoid cold drink,
