I ve been running consistently for over 10 years with no issues. I don t take any medication except for hormones for hot flashes, and vitamins. This morning I had a tightness in my chest and shortness of breath at about 1 mile into my run. I normally run 26 miles per week....

ECG, exercise stress testing are required to confirm the diagnosis
Please be advised to follow up with an urgent care/ emergency room as soon as possible.
