Suggest Treatment For Tender Lump In The Armpit

It s been over a year that I have had a lump in my armpit. It seems to get bigger and tender right before I start my period. When my boobs are tender it is tender and as my boob tenderness goes away so does the tenderness in the armpit. The lump never goes away. I went and had an ultrasound of the armpit but it came back normal. I went back to my pcp and told her that I can t just ignore it and we need to figure this out. She has scheduled a mammogram for me. I am a camcer survivor of osteosarcoma and was persistent when I discovered the lump so I do not want to just ignore this lump. My pcp seems like she has no clue what it could be and wants me to go to the breast center. Any idea what this could be?!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Do an MRI and USG of breast. If it's normal then nothing to fear. It might be physiological. Also, see that armpits lymph nodes are not swollen. Eat antioxidants, multivitamin for few days.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
