General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

COPD needs a multidimensional approach for treatment. Treatment follows like this.
1. Cessation of smoking if you are a smoker. This is a fundamental part of treatment.
2. Inhaled treatment. You are on good drugs so continue with the same.
3. Enroll in Pulmonary rehabilitation programme where chest physiotherapy is done.
4. Vaccinate yourself with respiratory vaccines like pneumococcal and H. influenza for prevention of infection in future.
Simultaneous application of above all steps is needed for better control of COPD.
And it is acceptable if you miss inhaler done once in a while.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
