Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lymph Nodes And Runny Nose
I have had problems with my throat for a year now. I have had cameras down and a barium swallow. I have the feeling there is something in my throat all the time. I have swollen lymph nodes which the doctors have shown no concern about but they never go down. I sometimes get an ache deep in my throat and it feels dry most of the time although I seem to produce lots of mucous. I feel i have to constantly clear my throat and swallow all the time. I have a runny nose and it feels quite cloggy at the back of my throat. Yesterday I was looking in my throat again with a torch (which I do many times a day) and my epiglotis is now visible. I am so worried about all my symptoms
Acute runny nose will be sign of upper respiratory tract infection or sinus involvement. The swollen lymph nodes may be sequence of acute or chronic infection in the drainage territory of the infection area. Usually many of the times, epiglottis can be visualized very clearly inside the mouth without any infection as well, and so do not get panic from the same finding on your own.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
