Suggest Treatment For Swollen Gland After Dental Work

I recently had dental work. I have an abscess, my gland swelled on the right side, the tooth I went in for was on the left. The scalp tenderness is on the left. It feels like my hair has been in a ponytail all day. During the day, it goes away, but I notice it when I brush my hair. I have always been tenderheaded. My question is can this all be from the dental issue? My dentist said I had lots of issues.

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The pain and swelling in the gland what you are describing is nothing but a cellulitis with regional lymphnode enlargement. Even the pain in the temporal region is also because of the tooth infection. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get a radiograph done to confirm the diagnosis. Mean while you can take a course of antibiotics like amoxicillin and metronidazole(if you are not allergic).
If there is a tooth infection, then it has to be treated with root canal treatment.
