the entire day both my hands are red not swollen but my knuckles are white when i put my fingers straight or lay my hand straight, the skin around the knuckles are folded inside and very white while the rest of my hands front and back are red. I feel tingling on ally my fingers and my arms (from my armpit down) are numb or sore like the feeling that you get the day after you lift weights or do a workout the first time. I take a water pill everyday for hypertension and i am also taking a strong antihistamine for my hives. can you please let me know if what i am recently experiencing in my arms and hands is a complication from my allergy medication

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hello, Thanks for your query. The tingling in the left arm and hand is not likely to be due to allergy medication. This tingling is more likely to be due to a nerve root compression at the cervical vertebral level due to degenerative disc changes or cervical spondylosis or vitamin B 12 deficiency. It happens primarily due to degenerative changes secondary to age in the cervical spine. An X-ray of the cervical spine and few blood investigations will help in proper diagnosis.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
