Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Itchy Welts Face And Hands
I break out in very swollen, itchy, welts wherever I sweat. Sometimes my face and hands swell to the point of pain. But when my face swells, it s not always the entire face. It s mostly my lips or my eyes. I have learned that this always happens when I get too hot or sweat. I have had this for almost a year now. The only thing that helps when this happens is taking benadryl.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of swollen and itchy welts face and hands which occurs when body give response to some external stimuli or some kind of allergen. Introduction of allergen to skin cause release of some chemical which makes rashes and can lead to urticaria. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to to find out the trigger factor which is a complicated thing , But the prevention of hives is the best thing one can do. Give cold compresses to reduce itchiness. You should consult dermatologist for proper diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe steroid therapy with prednisone. Till then take antihistamine drug and take anti-allergic medications such as Zyrtec(Cetirizine) and Benadryl. Avoid pricking these welts.
