Suggest Treatment For Swelling In Tongue And Itchy Eyes

I've been suffering from allergies for the past month: itchy eyes, ears, and a mild sore throat. Now there's a new wrinkle -- one side of my tongue is swelling up! I took a Benadryl roughly an hour ago, but it doesn't seem to be doing much good. I'm having no problems breathing. Aside from the above, I feel fine, but the tongue thing has me nervous. Any suggestions?

Hello.

Thank you for asking at HCM.

I went through your history and would like to make suggestions for you as follows:

1. I usually suggest my such patients antihistamine like cetirizine or hydroxyzine for 3 days.

2. I would also suggest you to avoid too hot/spicy food for 2-3 days.

3. I would suggest you to remember the foods you had taken before development of symptoms. Common foods causing allergies are milk, peanut, eggs, tree nuts, sea foods, some fresh fruits & vegetables.

Hope above suggestions will be helpful to you.

Should you have any further query, please feel free to ask at HCM.

Wish you the best of the health.

Thank you & Regards.
