Suggest Treatment For Swelling In The Neck And Face

Hi, my uncle fell and broke his ribs on Wednesday. The doctor prescribed him ibuprofen 800mg and oxycodone. He was already taking HCTZ 25mg and Lisinopril 40mg. Today he is very delusional, seeing things, and thinking that he has done things that he really hasn t. He is also very swollen in his neck and face. His voice has changed and he s having a difficult time breathing. Could this be a drug interaction?

Hello,

You may be developed an allergy to drug or respiratory depression due to opioid pain killer.

So it is better to avoid opioid pain killer and you may take alternate painkillers like Naprosyn or ibuprofen or indomethacin etc.

If symptoms not improved please consult your treating doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
