Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am suffering greatly swollen shut eye. This began 4 days ago with my penis and testicles itching feircely. after two days of this extremely irritating itching I felt like other parts of my body were drying out like my genitals. the second night i began having an itchy sensation on my eyebrow and under my eye as well. i awoke yesterday morning with my right eye swollen but not completely shut. it seemed to get worse as the day went on and until i went to sleep again. this morning my eye was even worse and has gotten progressively worse throughout the day. I dont know if this is an allergic reaction to some sort of bug bite or spider bite as I am extremely allergic to bee stings an other skin ailments such as poison ivy. at this moment my eye is nearly shut and I am beginning to feel my left eye become itchy as well.
The symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction. I recommend using an remove contact lenses if you wear them. Place cold compresses on your eyes.
Try nonprescription artificial tears that may help relieve itching and burning.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
