Suggest Treatment For Swelling In Leg After An Injury
I got hit with a softball a week ago on the side of my shin. There is still swelling and a pretty large bump. It hurts when I walk and is still tender to touch. The bruising has finally started but the pain is not getting better. I rolled my ankle the other night as well and that has not helped with the shin injury. What is the best treatment from here on out?
Hi Welcome to healhcaremagic After going through your query I concluded that you are having injury to your shin. There is subcutaneous Hematoma formation. you has no fever, then no need to worry much. Hematoma gradually resolved by itself .Thrombophob gel local application three times a day over it(no rubbing) can help in resolving it. Sometimes haematoma does not resolve by themselves. In these cases aspiration with wide bore needle is done to suck the collected blood under aseptic condition for which you need to visit doctor. You can discuss your doctor about it. Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
