Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is there anything that helps suboxone withdrawls? I have no desire for drugs. I wasn't mentally addicted to oxycodone. The physical withdrawls were too much for me to work though. I only take 4 mg a day and I just want to be done but as soon as 18 hours hits I start to get all sweaty and know its time for the next dose. I hate this. I feel like I have all the side effects of addiction without the pleasure. I never took pills for pleasure it was for pain. What can I do? I can't miss work and I am lucky to get a day off.
If you do not wish to take medicines, then the only thing is to taper off Suboxone gradually. Try to take half or three-fourth of your current dose. The discomfort would be milder than if you were stopping abruptly. After a couple of weeks, try to reduce again. Continue the process till you are off it. Go slow and allow your body ample time to adjust.
Best wishes.
