Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had my wisdom teeth removed in December, but only a few weeks ago I noticed a very big change visibly in my weight. I m in my first year of university so I m wondering if it s a mixture of stress, the high calorie foods at the cafeteria, my new meds I take for my mental health and or it could be from post wisdom teeth removal. I know i didn t eat a lot when I was recovering because I was too dizzy from the anesthesia to move. Am i correct to assume that these could play a factor in my weight gain? I took a pregnancy test a few days ago and it said I wasn t pregnant so could it just be a mixture of those reasons?
In my opinion your weight gain, is related to all that you have mentioned above, including high calories food that you eat, stress and the mental health medications.
I suggest you to make some lifestyle changes:
-Try to eat food high in fibers (grain, fruits, vegetables)
-Try to make more physical activity
-practice any of the relaxation techniques.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Suela Gjata, General & Family Physician
