Suggest Treatment For Stomach Bloating , Gastritis And Colon Cancer

I am all of a sudden constipated more than usual. I am bloated and gasy and feel the need to go but can t whereas in the past I could literally make myself go if I wanted to. I can only go now if I take a laxative. That works well for me but I do not want to be dependent on them. I am freaking out because of colon cancer. I don t hurt and I do not have any pain or bleeding. Just pressure and cramping on the right lower side when it has been a while since I have gone. I never feel like my bowels are emptied unless I take a laxative. Then the symptoms are gone for a while. Sometimes I can go with just stool softeners as well. I had a total hysterectonmy a year ago. Could that also be a part of the problem?

Stomach bloating is caused mainly because of air swallowing known as erophagia.The causes are irritable bowel syndrome,dyspepsia, constipation ,bowel obstruction etc

You should undergo certain blood investigations with urine and stool examination for R/M and ova or ultrasound of abdomen or upper GI scopy if required.

Treatment is mainly depend on the underlying cause but symptomatic treatment can be given.

You may require antibiotics (quinolones, antiprotozoals or amoxycillin derivatives)and anti helminthic (albendazole) with proton pump inhibitors and prebiotics and probiotics.

You can continue with laxatives and for colon cancer you will need to continue treatment as per your oncologist.

You must consult your gastroenterologist for detailed medical history and thoroughly clinical examination and get it diagnosed first.
