Suggest Treatment For Stiffness And Pain In The Back Due To Bulging Disc

I have had back problems off and on for several years. The problem is a bulging disc in the lower back. I had 2 epiderals in early 2014 and these really helped for about a year. This year the pain and stiffness has gradually gotten worse so I had one epidural this past summer. Besides over the counter antiflamitories the only prescription I have now Robaxin which is for occasional stiffness and pain. I sthere anything else that might be helpful ?

Hi,
You might require physiotherapy like back extension exercises, short way diathermy and lumbar traction if advised by your orthopedic surgeon.
Take Calcium and vitamin D supplements.
Avoid more bending from back.
Avoid weight lifting.
Avoid squatting position.
Ok and take care.
I find this answer helpful
