Suggest Treatment For Stiff/swollen Hand And Abdominal Cramping
My 16 year old daughter has been complaining recently of her hand getting stiff, and swollen. She describes it as it feels it might just explode. She has had a couple episodes of this. Also has had two episodes of abdominal cramping and diarrhea so bad she cannot go to school. She missed 3 days with one episode. She has missed only one day so far with this second episode. She missed no school last year and has missed 4 days already this year. I am wondering what to do???? YYYY@YYYY

She may be suffering from rheumatoid arthritis. You should do blood tests, ERS, anti-ANA for arthritis etc. Also, an x-ray of hands may be needed.
