Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have multiple splotches on my upper thigh and lower legs. Ranging in size from a quarter, to a dime and slightly smaller than that. Appearance is white scaly patches which when I scrape the rough scaliness away with just nail, pink to bright pink is seen. One lesion is red with mild purple undertones. This one is dime sized and slightly raised. What could they be please ? No offense but the Doc you chose works in family planning and vasectomies. I need help with a rash
The rash you are explaining seems like psoriasis. This is a condition of the skin where the skin produces a thick upper layer that if scratched comes out like a candle and leaves a pink area underneath.
There are specific treatments, especially local ointments and creams that can be used. You will need to see your doctor and have the diagnosis confirmed and then get the proper treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
