Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat

I have tender glands n my throat. I woke up at 3 am and if felt like someone dump battery acid on my throat. This is at least once a week occurrence. The rest of time I just don t feel well. Always tired throat is sore. Been fighting this for over 6 months. My physician is telling me it is just inflammation. Any opinion on this would be helpful.

I carefully read your query and able to find your point of concern.

As far your description this is clear to me that you are suffering from tonsilitis.

My advice is-
Gurgle with warm salted water two to three times per day.
Avoid cold drinking.
If pain remain you can use paracetamol or ibuprofen.
An antibiotics like Levofloxacin, or cefuroxime will help you.

If there is no improvement occur then you should consult with ENT specialist for surgical intervention.
