Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat

Last night i had a very bad sore throat and after taking a soothing spray, i went to sleep. A bout a million time during the night i woke up not being able to breathe and gagging so much, it hurt and stopped my breathing. This happens every time i have a sore throat. When I was five, my doctor told my mom that my tonsils were slightly large but i never got them removed because its never been a problem. I m a 15 year old girl. HELP!

Hi

Welcome to HCM

Sore throat is usually because of inflammation of pharynx in the form of pharyngitis or inflammation of larynx in the form of laryngitis. This requires treatment by the use of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. Use of salt water gargling will provide symptomatic relief.
If the cause is because of tonsillitis it can be treated by treatment of the underlying cause.
