Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat, Congested Nose, Tiredness And Sinus Pain

Cold symptoms began 7 days ago (a slight sore throat and stuffed up nose). Now I have a lingering, hacking cough, tiredness, and sinus pain in one particular area (right above my eye, I get a shooting pain that subsides with Tylenol/Advil). I have never had a fever and do not currently have one. At this point, those are the only symptoms. I have very little nasal congestion. Most of the congestion is not in my chest, but rather in my throat. I am wondering whether this is a bacterial or viral infection. It seems to me that it is viral. But I am wondering how to proceed.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems like Upper Respiratory Track Infection commonly known as Common Cold and is Viral infection..
Cold has led to sinus headache infection causing Sinusitis..
I would suggest you to start taking a course of antibiotics like Azithromycin or Levofloxacin to prevent or treat secondary bacterial infection..
Take Advil to reduce inflammation and pain..
Decongestant nasal spray, saline nasal irrigation, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
Take Oral decongestant like Phenylephrine and mucolytics like Ambroxol..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods and maintain a good Oral hygiene..
Drink plenty of warm fluids and take ample of rest..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
