Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Nasal Drainage

I was sick about a week ago with a cold... sore throat from nasal drainage. lost my voice for 4 days, slowly developed a cough. I no longer feel sick but still have some nasal drainage and my throat feels a little tender on the right side and varies in pain

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
The symptoms what you have been describing appears that you have been down with upper respiratory tract infection. Kindly do the following to overcome them.
1. Do salt water gargling with warm water thrice a day.
2. Use steam inhalation to liquefy the mucous for easy drainage.
3. Take decongestant medications in the form of syrup containing Ambroxyl and Chlorpheniramine maleate as ingredients.
4. In case you feel feverish, you need to take Paracetamol.
5. If the nasal discharge and mucous is yellowish or yellow-green in colour, you need to take a course of antibiotics like Azhithromycin.
6. Take medicated lozenges for throat soothening effect when required.
Strictly avoid consumption of cold items like cold drinks and ice cream.
