Suggest Treatment For Sore And Itchy Lump On Vagina

Good evening. Over the past week I have had an irritated itchy and sore vagina. I assumed it was a yeast infection (as I have had one before) after about three days I noticed there was a small lump at the entrance of my vagina. I took a Canesten pill and figured the lump was just swelling. Now 5 days later the infection is gone but the lump is now larger than a golf ball and has blocked the whole vagina entrance so I cannot even examine. Please help! I want to have an idea of what I m in for before I go to the emerge! I am terrified!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms are more likely suggestive if infective causes like bacterial vaginosis or yeast infection. Consult a gynaecologist and get a vaginal swab done to confirm the diagnosis. We have to rule out other possibilities also.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
