Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I saw a small red spot on my chest. As I touched it, puss came out and a lot. I kept squeezing it until blood started to come our. Leass than 24 hours later, puss started to come out but very little and a red area of 1 mm radius is seen. What is the cause of this please?
Related to your symptoms I think this is skin infection (a boil), the most probably cause from staphylococcus bacteria. Antibiotics recommended by a doctor, are used to treat a staph infections when you start running a fever, have swollen lymph nodes, the skin around the boil turns red or red streaks appear, the pain becomes severe, the boil does not drain, and a second boil appears. But in your case for the moment you need a local treatment with antiseptic.
I hope my answer help you. Let me know if I can assist you further. I wish a quick recovery.
Regards, Dr. Monika Dede
