Suggest Treatment For Small Itchy Bumps On The Thigh

A few weeks ago I started getting red itchy bumps that kind of resembled mosquito bites on my right thigh. They itched on and off for the few weeks. Last night they stopped itching completely and we re almost gone. I woke up this morning to both if my thighs covered in them as well as my butt, my lower legs, then throughout today they spread to having a few on my left breast and my right elbow. I have tried calamine lotion and Claritin and nothing is helping

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of small itchy bumps on the thigh which seems to be due to hair follicle infection leading to folliculitis and it could be due to furuncle or boil. Need not to worry. You should wear loose clothes and avoid sharing them with anyone. You should avoid touching or pricking bumps. I would suggest you to apply topical antibacterial ointment and wear loose clothes. You should take course of oral antibiotics. Maintain complete hygiene and keep area little dry. Visit dermatologist once if symptoms keeps on persisting. Start treatment after complete examination and proper prescription.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
