Suggest Treatment For Slight Stroke In Thalamus

My 70-year-old husband had a very slight stroke in his thalamus a week ago due to uncontrolled high blood pressure. He is on some new blood pressure meds, a baby aspirin, and Lipitor now. He searches for words at times and he can t always say what he wants to; there is some short-term memory loss. The doctor at the hospital says he has a 100 percent chance of recovery. I m assuming he ll be getting speech therapy and I hear early and intense therapy is most effective. He sees a neurologist in a few days. Thoughts?

DEAR FRIEND, I UNDERSTAND YOUR CONCERNS, SEE THERE IS AN INJURY AT THALAMUS SO YOU HAVE ALL PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH SPEACH AND MEMORY PROBLEMS. WITH THIS HE MAY HAVE DIFFICULTY IN WALKING AND MANTAINING BALANCE, SO BETTER I SUGGEST YOU TO START PHYSIOTHERAPY TREATMENT ALSO MEAN WHILE HIS SPEACH AND MEMORY ALSO RECOVERES.
