Suggest Treatment For Sinusitis

ive had sinitus sence july and still have it ive been to the er twice and ergent care twice they both put me on anti bi, my doc put me on allergy med still no relief. sever pain in the bridge of my nose, behind my eyes and my forhead. what anti bi will get rid of this sinitus?

Hi,

The key for the treatment of your sinusitis is to figure out the cause. For instance, if your sinusitis is due to allergies, then decongestants alone will probably not help much.

If a bacterial infection is the culprit, antibiotics can be very helpful. For acute sinusitis, you typically take them for 10-14 days. For chronic sinusitis, it might be longer. Apart pain killers,in some cases it is indicated to use steroids to bring down the swelling in the sinus membranes.

There are a lots of antibiotics that are effective for sinusitis but it is very important to take the prescription and the respective instructions by your treating doctor.
