Suggest Treatment For Sinus Infection And Chest Congestion

I am just recovering from a 3 week viral infection that caused throat pain, voice hoarseness, sinus congestion, and chest congestion with cough. Just when I think I am finally feeling better, I have developed sharp pain in my right parietal lobe region that only lasts a few seconds but is severe with a lingering soreness. The pain increases with movement. I don t palpate any tenderness over the region other than a small raised bump. I do have a cold blister in my right nares. I am concerned that the cold sore in my nares is related to the parietal lobe pain. Should I have this evaluated?

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your situation and problem.
Possibility of connection between nose problem and parietal lobe pain is very less.
But in rare cases, uncontrolled, severe sinusitis can cause meningeal infection and brain damage.
But since you are improving in sinusitis, possibility of this is also very low.
So no need to worry much. Avoid stress and tension. Take simple painkiller like ibuprofen. Your parietal lobe pain will mostly improve. But if you are still having pain than better to get done CT thorax and CT PNS (paranasal sinuses) to rule out internal brain pathology.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
