Suggest Treatment For Sinus Infection And Chest Cold

I have been taking Bactrim for a sinus infection and chest cold with coughing fatigue and fever. I was on doxycycline hyclate which did not work and the Bactrim is only for 10 days but I am already in day 6 with very little improvement. What is my next move am I diagnosed right could it be the flu what is happening.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. For sinusitis antibiotics may not respond well in all cases. In such cases puncture and drainage of sinus will be required in addition to antibiotic therapy. Paranasal sinus x ray should be taken prior to that. Consult an ENT specialist for this. You can take more fluids and chewable Vitamin C. Nasal decongesant sprays also will be helpful.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
